Getaway Car
Getaway Car is Simon Honisett's project. Simon lives and records in Portland, Oregon after moving to the US from Australia in 1998. Simon's first band, Sea Stories existed in Australia in the early '80s. His subsequent bands were Sunglass, Gigantaur, Baby Langston and Marvelann.
Project details
The Getaway Car album was started in 2014 with a friend, recording on a laptop just for fun. I kept working and adding tracks and realized over the course of the next eleven years that I had created an album I wanted to release. The album features a lot of talented people providing backing vocals and playing instruments such as pedal steel, saw, flute, piano and stand up bass.
